Quantity Quotes provides an easy way for purchasers to buy a large quantity of qualified products (ENERGY STAR, WaterSense, and green building products). It's easy to figure out exactly what you need and get competitive quotes from multiple suppliers.

Quantity Quotes is for anyone who wants to buy efficient products for a company, institution, or other organization in the United States. Purchasers represent public housing authorities, apartment building owners and managers, schools, colleges and universities, assisted living facilities, and many other types of organizations. Suppliers sell energy-efficient products and/or green building materials.

Purchasers can use Quantity Quotes to get quotes for ENERGY STAR qualified light bulbs (CFLs and LEDs), light fixtures, refrigerators, clothes washers, dishwashers, room air conditioners, and dehumidifiers, WaterSense toilets, urinals, showerheads, faucets, landscaping controller and commercial pre-rinse spray valves, and recycled-content fiberglass and cellulose insulation. Quantity Quotes promotes the purchase of energy-efficiency and green products. Energy-efficient products must be ENERGY STAR qualified. Quantity Quotes makes it easy to get competitive quotes for qualified products. Our customized forms guide you through the process of formulating your purchase request, so you get the product that meets your needs. When you submit a request, we’ll pass it on to participating suppliers and ask for quotes on your behalf, saving you time and keeping your contact information private. Suppliers then compete against one another for your business, saving you money.

Sure. Just be sure to note in the top portion of the purchase request form under "Type of Response Requested" that you're only looking for contact information from suppliers, not detailed information on product(s) and pricing.

Yes, for certain products we require a minimum quantity, which is indicated on the purchase request form under "Total Order Quantity". Keep in mind that a request for a larger quantity is likely to receive more interest from suppliers and more favorable pricing.

Quantity Quotes is free of charge to both purchasers and suppliers. It is supported by StopWaste, Alameda County’s Waste Management Authority and Energy Council, with in kind support from the U.S. Department of Energy.

All you have to do is register. You’ll have to agree to the Terms of Use, give us some basic information about yourself (name, organization name, location, email address, etc.), and choose a username and password. After that, you’ll have to confirm your email address. If you’re a purchaser, you’ll then be granted immediate access to the site. If you’re a supplier selling ENERGY STAR products, we’ll have to verify that your company is an ENERGY STAR partner or a member of a buying group that is an ENERGY STAR partner. If you have already registered, your username and password will be emailed to you. If your email address is not on file with us, you will be invited to register. If you receive your username and password but still cannot log into the site, contact the Quantity Quotes Team for help.

Yes. Your organization may have multiple registered users, each with its own username and password. Keep in mind, though, that each user is completely independent of all others. Some companies find it useful to have multiple registered users. For example, a supplier may have one user register to receive requests for certain product types and another user receive requests for other types. However, if multiple users register to receive requests for a given product, requests for that product will go to all of them. They will have to carefully coordinate their responses or risk competing against one another if more than one user responds to a given request.

Suppliers are not required to respond to a minimum number of requests from purchasers or sell a minimum amount of product in order to remain registered on the site. We simply ask that all registered users abide by the Terms of Use for the site.

StopWaste, the sponsor of Quantity Quotes, requires that all registered users abide by the Terms of Use for the site. Please read them carefully. Those who are found to be in violation of the Terms of Use may be barred from using the site.

We do not validate the authenticity of offers to buy or sell products.

We store each user’s name, organization name, address, and other contact information necessary to enable users to transact business on the Web site. The Quantity Quotes Team will not ask you for a credit card number or any similar information. Conversations between purchasers and suppliers that take place through the site are stored in our database. We take all reasonable precautions to maintain the privacy of these conversations.
